The ASUS series returns to us in February with the same prize fund, same place but different game list.

Long before the Arbalet era, ASUS tournaments were a thing to watch in the CIS scene.

Some years ago the series was a perfect basis for such solo games as StarCraft: BroodWar, WarCraft III and Quake 3.

The official prize fund was always something between $25,000 and $30,000, even in the times of recession in Russia.

This tournament possesses the same charasteristics and is scheduled on 20-23rd February with online qualifications and one Moscow city preliminary minitourney.

This time, the official game list looks as follows:

Counter-Strike 1.6 5v5 Masters (32 teams) - prize fund $10,000.
Сounter-Strike 1.6 5v5 Non-Profi Open (128 teams) – $3,000.
Сounter-Strike 1.6 5v5 Female Open (8 teams) – $1,000.
Counter-Strike: Source 5v5 Open (32 teams) – $3,000.
DOTA 5v5 Open (32 teams) – $3,000.
Pro Evolution Soccer 1v1 Open (128 players) – $2,000.
FIFA 2010 1v1 Open (128 players) – $2,000.
Quake LIVE! 1v1 Open (64 players) – $2,000.

The tournament will feature four invited teams - Arbalet UA, UNiTED Russia , forZe and DTS , while all others will go through the preliminaries

As we reported on an earlier interview with Millenium team-leader, Steeve "Ozstriker" Flavigni, names were already shaping up for the new year squad. All this became concrete today when the French powerhouse announced its long-awaited flagship roster.

The new team is already set for a national appearance at the PxL 25, starting on the 12th of February. The following names will now represent the likes of Millenium both in national competitions of this type and equally in international ones:

-Steeve "Ozstriker" Flavigni
-Marc "bisou" Naoum
-Steve "Jarod" Cohen
-Christopher "YiiKoN" Cavecchi
-Michel "mshz" Nguyen

Bisou is the type of oldschooler, present in long-time projects like armaTeam or aAa. Alongside Ozstrik3r, they will be the mentors of the other three newcomers in the team. Both YiiKoN and mshz come from teams like D4 Gaming, meanwhile Jarod is the least known element in this new announcement; he evolved quite notably for names like Ubiteam.

Millenium's new roster adds to the view that a new wave of young, talented players is promoted into the scene in this exercise of changing the guard, from oldschoolers to fresh blood. Stay tuned with us for further updates.

Mousesports just won the Extreme Masters Global Challenge in Dubai taking down MYM on two maps. Coming from the Lowerbracket mousesports needed to win two maps while MYM only would have needed a single map. They played de_dust2 two times in the Grand Final and also once in the Winnerbracket Final before.

Mousesports played an impressive tournament so far and just took the Grand Final against MYM on two maps, winning the $25,000 for the first place. They got knocked out earlier by MYM on de_dust2 with 12-16 and again the map was de_dust2 in the Grand Final.
